com·mu·ni·tas – [kuh-myoo-ni-tahs] – noun – the sense of sharing that develops among persons who experience the condition of being on a threshold or at the beginning of a process as a group
There are some basic threads that are woven together to create the beautiful quilt that Communitas is becoming. This movement was born out frustration with what was and a longing for could be. It grew from a desire for a community that was home-grown, rather prepackaged, a longing to depend upon God, rather than pretending to have everything figured out, and the belief that the church is the expression of the mission of God in the world and not just a place for Christ followers to hang out and consume teaching and programs.
The dream is that of a community where…
a person can be real, without fear of rejection
artists are unleashed to use their gifts for God and for good
things revolve around life and relationships, rather than just an event
people band together to be the expression of God’s Kingdom where it is most needed
We simply call it… life together in the way of Jesus.

I feel like this is such a laid back way for me to be around good people and share things with eachother. I feel so good after each discussion that we have because I never really get the opportunity to ask questions and hear what people think and if they have felt the same way. Thanks Glenn!!!
